Who we are
The Fetal Cardiac Program at SickKids is an accredited teaching and training program made up of physicians, sonographers, nurses and social workers.
What we do
A fetal echocardiogram performed at 19-20 weeks is ideal for providing a thorough cardiac evaluation during pregnancy and allows for families to explore all options for the pregnancy if an abnormality is detected
Education & Learning
The Fetal Cardiac Outreach Program provides ongoing education to Sonographers, Obstetricians, Radiologists, Cardiologists and other personnel involved in prenatal ultrasound
Research & Innovations
We are the only program in Canada offering in-utero fetal cardiac interventions. Ongoing research into fetal cardiology is an integral part of our practice.
