Jane Lougheed

Dr. Lougheed received her medical degree from Queen’s University in 1993. She completed her paediatrics residency at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in 1996 and a subspecialty in paediatric cardiology at CHEO in 1998. Dr. Lougheed also completed a subspecialty residency in paediatric cardiology at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children in 2000. As well as her current positions at CHEO, she is a consulting cardiologist for the Department of Maternal Fetal Medicine and Neonatology at The Ottawa Hospital. Dr. Lougheed is a member of the Specialty Committee in Cardiology for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She is also the Chair of the Examination Board in Pediatric Cardiology at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Lougheed’s areas of clinical interest include fetal cardiology, neuromuscular disorders and paediatric heart failure.
