Fetal Cardiac Program
Who we are
The Fetal Cardiac Program at SickKids is an accredited teaching and training program made up of physicians, sonographers, nurses and social workers.
What we do
A fetal echocardiogram performed at 19-20 weeks is ideal for providing a thorough cardiac evaluation during pregnancy and allows for families to explore all options for the pregnancy if an abnormality is detected.
Education & Learning
The Fetal Cardiac Outreach Program provides ongoing education to Sonographers, Obstetricians, Radiologists, Cardiologists and other personnel involved in prenatal ultrasound.
Research & Innovations
We are the only program in Canada offering in-utero fetal cardiac interventions. Ongoing research into fetal cardiology is an integral part of our practice.
